I can actually tell you where I was when I heard my first Nujabes track. I was walking in Seoul, Korea waiting to board a plane to the Philippines. Me and my cousin Mark were talking about music, and he handed me his iPod and told me to listen to this song, Kumomi. I jotted down the name and made sure I picked up some tracks as soon as i could.
The man behind the music, Seba Jun, passed away in a car accident in Tokyo on February 26th. Today his record label, Hydeout Productions, released an official statement confirming his death. They also stated, although he is dead, his music will live on forever. He left behind some music to continue his legacy, expect it to drop sometime in the near future.
